Our Standard Papers

All our paper is sourced from responsibly managed and sustainable resources.

Stationery paper (also called bond paper)

• An uncoated paper - available in 80gsm, 90gsm, 100gsm and 120gsm.
• Appropriate for copier, inkjet and laser printers.
• Ideal for printing, writing or rubber stamps.
• Use for letterheads, forms and office stationery.

Matt finish paper (also called silk or satin coated art paper)

• A coated paper - available in a variety of weights between 90gsm to 350gsm.
• Matt surface on both sides.
• Partly refined with dispersion varnish so it's not suitable for writing or rubber stamps.
• Use for all printing - flyers, leaflets, business cards, posters, brochures etc.

Gloss finish paper (also called gloss coated art paper)

• A coated paper - available in a variety of weights between 90gsm to 350gsm.
• Glossy surface on both sides.
• Partly refined with dispersion varnish so it's not suitable for writing or rubber stamps.
• Use for all printing - flyers, leaflets, business cards, posters, brochures etc.
• NOTE: due to the way glossy paper is produced it has a slightly thinner 'feel' than matt finish paper of the same weight.

Business card board

• Available in 350gsm and 400gsm.
• Either coated art board (glossy or matt) or uncoated board that's suitable for writing or rubber stamps.
• Great stiffness.
• Also suitable for postcards, greetings cards and model cards.

Postcard board

• Available in 280gsm and 350gsm.
• Front side matt coated, not suitable for writing or rubber stamps.
• Back uncoated, suitable for writing and rubber stamps.
• Great stiffness.
• Also suitable for loyalty cards, greetings cards and model cards.

Fluorescent paper (dayglo)

• Available in 80gsm.
• Front in colours yellow, green or red, reverse white (not printable).
• Only really suitable for printing in dark colours because of the coloured surface.
• Coated on one side, colourful, light-resistant.
• Suitable for posters.

Poster paper (outdoor, water-resistant)

• Available in 115gsm.
• Matt-coated on one side, wood-free white.
• Blue on the reverse side to prevent show-through when glued on surfaces (not printable).
• Suitable for posters for inside or outside.
  

We also offer a range of self-adhesive paper and polyethylene stickers and some recycled and textured papers - please email for more information.

Paper Sizes

Most people are familiar with the A series which includes A4 the usual letterhead size.

There is also a B series which provides larger sizes.

The C series is for envelopes - A C4 envelope being ideal for holding an A4 sheet.

Printers also use different paper sizes - RA and SRA - to allow enough room for grip, trim and bleed. The sheets are then trimmed down to their finished size after printing.
